Please do click on each picture if you'd like to see how the rescue of this little family began and developed.

Mom and four littles will be joining us as soon as we can get their area put together, hopefully over the weekend. This mom (not feral, just leery - with good reason) gave birth to four in the back corner of Patty's yard in Holiday, FL Patty's never been involved with a cat in any way - yet she and her 18-year old son took charge and, with the help of Ruth, (TipMyEar) and RaeAnna (us), we got this temporary housing set up for them on her lanai. Stay tuned for all the cute and cuddly updates. If you are so inclined, we have a wish list for them on Amazon. You can access it here: https://linktr.ee/thelittlecatsrescue

thank you with love, purrs and sandpaper kisses. Be thinking about names, now - you know we love your input!

Picture 1: She was as far back as she could get, squeezed between the bush and the fence. She had zero protection from the sun, rain, or predators. Poor mama looks utterly exhausted. Patty found them on 3/28, likely hours after their birth and called us immediately. We sprang into action, eliciting the help of expert trapper, Ruth, in case she was feral. She did need to be humanely trapped but was able to be reunited immediately with her kids with ease.

Picture 2: This was our chance! Mom left them, so we set the trap, put the babies in a carrier just outside the trap to lure her in. The rescue went without a hitch, thanks to experience and cool heads! Mom returned, went almost immediately into the trap. Then the babies were carefully placed into the crate which had been set up on the lanai. Next came mom, and she went from trap to crate with ease.

Picture 3: This is one devoted mom. She barely left their side while outside. We are looking forward to increasing their space with one of our special L shaped huge dog crates, bungeed together so they have a little world unto themselves until they are ready.

Picture 4: Here she is, looking upon her babies with such motherly love. She (and they - two gingers, a calico and a dark grey) will need names. We are excited to be able to bring them into our Sanctuary, help them grow and get everyone ready for their forever homes. It's a revolving door it seems. We found wonderful homes for a flurry of our rescues in the recent weeks, making room for this precious little family. All with your help!
